[Questions & Answers]

What are the benefits of taking a garlic supplement?

The use of garlic by humans dates back thousands of years. Science now has elucidated some of the benefits of this potent food, which includes anti-microbial, anti-fungal as well as anti-viral properties. In connection with cardiovascular health, garlic has been shown to have a beneficial effect on maintaining blood fats in their correct balance.

Should I take this product only during the winter months to fend of bugs?

Many consumers of food supplements take this product specially during the winter months to give their immune systems a helping hand during this time of the year. The Wassen garlic product has been formulated for long-term use, but may be used periodically if so desired.

Why should I take your garlic product?

Garlic contains various active ingredients. One such active component is allicin, a compound, which is formed as the result of the action of the enzyme alliinase on alliin. It is this chemical process that gives garlic its characteristic odour.

Unfortunately, cooking deactivates alliinase, making raw garlic physiologically more potent. This is where Wassen Garlic may be advantageous by providing components found normally only in raw garlic but with the minimum of the associated odour.

Is your product suitable for long-term use?

The Wassen Garlic tablets have been formulated for health maintenance purposes and are suitable for long-term use provided the dosage instructions are adhered to. Higher dosages may be taken for therapeutic purposes, but only under professional supervision.

Is your garlic product odourless?

Wassen Garlic tablets are not exactly odour-free, but a low odour formulation. These delayed diffusion tablets don't dissolve until they reach the small intestine, thus minimising the odour on the breath, often associated with garlic consumption.

How much allicin is contained in your garlic tablets?

Each Wassen Garlic tablet contains 320 mg of garlic granules, providing 3.5 mg of alliin and a minimum of 1600 µg (micrograms) of allicin.

Can I take your garlic product with other vitamins and minerals?

Our garlic tablets do not contain any additional vitamins and minerals and should therefore be suitable to be combined with other vitamin and mineral products.
